BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan — The DIGITECH Erasmus+ consortium is proud to announce the successful completion of its initial phase, marked by several strategic milestones achieved between November 2025 and April 2026. These advancements lay a robust foundation for the modernization of higher education across Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Georgia.
Strategic Planning and Governance
The project was officially set in motion during a high-level Kick-off Meeting hosted by OshTU in Bishkek (January 12–16). To ensure professional execution, the consortium established a comprehensive Management Handbook. This vital document serves as the project’s operational backbone, consolidating governance roles, risk controls, and EU compliance standards to ensure auditable and timely delivery across all partner institutions.
Communication and Digital Presence
In March, the project reached a significant visibility milestone with the approval of its Events, Communication and Dissemination Strategy and the launch of the official project website Digitech.kg. Both the strategy and the digital platform were developed by INAI.kg, ensuring transparent and consistent engagement with global stakeholders and the academic community.
Academic Excellence and Needs Analysis
A cornerstone of this phase was the completion of the comprehensive Needs Analysis Report, presented by BTU in late April. The findings from this report have directly triggered the procurement phase for specialized laboratory equipment, enabling partner universities to begin the physical transformation of their training facilities.
International Training in Slovenia
In March 2026, faculty members from all six partner universities participated in an intensive capacity-building program at the University of Maribor in Slovenia. This training equipped academic staff with:
"The synergy between our European and regional partners has been exceptional," noted the project coordination team. "From the faculty training in Slovenia to the finalization of our infrastructure plans, we are moving closer to a future where our graduates are fully prepared for the global digital economy."
